Live Online Camps FAQ

What is the typical class size?

Classes usually have 10–12 students with two instructors to keep sessions interactive and personal.

Are there any prerequisites?

No prior experience is needed for Money Fundamentals. For Money Advanced or Investing Advanced, students should have completed the Fundamentals course or have basic personal finance knowledge.

Who are the instructors?

Our instructors are well-trained college students and recent graduates studying finance, accounting, or business. Selected from hundreds of applicants each year, they’re engaging, knowledgeable, and relatable mentors who make money topics fun and accessible.

Do students need to have cameras and microphones on?

Yes. Cameras and microphones should stay on so students can participate fully and instructors can track attendance and engagement.

What if a student misses a session?

We’re unable to offer make-up sessions due to the fast-paced schedule. Please register for a week that fits your child’s availability.

How involved are parents?

Parents receive welcome information and updates as needed. Students are expected to manage their own participation during camp to build independence and accountability.

What is the minimum enrollment for a class?

Each session requires at least four students to run.

What programs are available?

We offer several options during the summer and select breaks throughout the school year:

  • Money Fundamentals (10 hours) – Core personal finance topics like income, taxes, budgeting, and credit.
  • Camp Wall Street (10 hours) – Introduction to investing concepts, markets, and portfolio basics.
  • Move Out & Stay Out (10 hours) – A deep dive into adulthood and how to navigate it successfully. From renting their first apartment to deciding on a career, students get a solid understand of what life looks like as an adult.

How long is each class?

10-hour programs meet for 2 hours per day over one week (or 1 hour per day over two weeks).

Is the curriculum different by age?

Slightly. While core content is consistent, instructors tailor discussions to each group.

How do you keep classes engaging?

We use games, team challenges, and interactive tools to make learning fun. Students earn “Moola Points” for participation, which keeps energy high and competition friendly.
